THE POPULAR ART PHOTOGRAPHY
The question is often asked, what has made photography so popular in modern interior decor. The observation is correct; more and more architects, interior designers and decorators are using photography conceptually.
Firstly and most importantly, photography is a reality-based medium, which is, therefore, believable. The great Ansel Adams, one of the world's most famous photographers, once said: "Photography, as a powerful medium of expression and communications, offers an infinite variety of perception, interpretation and execution". He also went on to say "When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence".
There is indeed something special and real about photography; society trusts what a camera can record. Secondly, photography appeals to a younger audience, and very often as with traditional art, people connect to a picture simply because it evokes a memory or stirs up an emotion from the past.
