The question is often asked, what has made photography so popular in modern interior decor. The observation is correct, more and more architects, interior designers and decorators are using photography conceptually. Firstly and most importantly photography is a reality based medium, which is believable. The great Ansel Adams, one of the world's most famous photographer, said "Photography, as a powerful medium of expression and communications, offers an infinite variety of perception, interpretation and execution" he also went on to say "When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs.  When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence". There is indeed something special and real about photography, society trusts what a camera records. Secondly, photography appeals to younger audience, and very often people connect to a picture simply because it evokes a memory from the past. The opportunities for photography to be used in interior decor today is endless, spanning for different printing methods, unusual substrates that can be used, as well as attractive framing and display styles underpin this exciting medium. One of the trends that we have noticed is that more and more people are displaying photography much larger than before. New printing methods not only deliver stable archival prints, but they also allow for large size prints with excellent resolution. Large dramatic prints create impact and awe. Photography is here to stay, and the design world is loving it.
