ENDURANCE A body of work captured in South Africa where the imbalance between the wealthy and the poor is poignantly accentuated. The future of the country lies in the hands of our children. Children who do not deserve to bear the sins of the past. Children who have innocently been dragged, head-long, into the stark realities of life. While spending time with these children, it was incomprehensible that they could display such peace, joy and unbridled love. It was obvious that these innocent bystanders have a natural inclination towards forgiveness. It was as if they had never really understood anything else. They seemed to have peace with the situation they found themselves in and easily called home, home. Oh how the country needs this attitude to meander it’s way throughout all our people. Is it so hard to look through the eyes of a child?….We were all like this once….What on earth has happened to us?
